5 Health Problems of Summer that can be prevented with proper diet

  • Skin rashes could be due to hyperthermia, excessive sweating, dehydration or eating the wrong kind of foods during the summer season. Foods that are too spicy or oily may cause itchy skin during summers. Use of aloe vera and probiotics is helpful along with keeping one hydrated.
  • Other health problems related to increased temperatures during summers are summer cold, fungal infections, prickly heat rashes, etc. It is best to keep indoors, away from the sun especially during afternoons. If that is not possible, keeping oneself completely hydrated is the safest bet.

    Excessive consumption of tea, coffee, alcohol, sodas should be avoided, as the dehydrate the body. Use of spicy food especially red chillies and peppers should be avoided as it may cause acidity and reflux as also fatty and fried foods.

    Drinking plenty of liquids, eating fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables and  maintaining proper hygiene will ensure safe and healthy summer season.
