5 foods to be avoided during pregnancy
The five foods to be avoided are:
1. RAW EGGS and MEATS: Raw eggs are prone to infections, thus must be avoided during pregnancy. Raw eggs present in parboiled egg, poached egg and scrambled egg may contain bacterium “Salmonella” which may cause food poisoning in pregnant mothers and thus may cause harm to the baby as well. Similarly raw or uncooked beefs , sausages, minced meat have chances of ‘toxoplasmosis’ –a parasite which is responsible for causing various health hazards for mother as well as for baby.
Fishes like shrimp, tuna, sword fish, mackerel should also be avoided during pregnancy as these are with high mercury levels.
