10 Weaning ideas for the your baby at the 6th month

  • Cream or milk fat all on its own or with added fruits
  • Yogurt
  • Fish Pureed
  • Mixed Purees: Rice and lentils, rice and vegetables, coconut milk and semolina, fruits and yogurt etc.
  • Important Notes:

    • Purees can be made by over – cooking the vegetables, fruits, cereals, lentils or fish, by steaming them longer than usual. Make the puree with a fork, spoon or hand blender and add some of the water used for cooking. The consistency should be runny.
    • Introduce foods in order given above, for maximum benefit and acceptance.
    • There is no need to add either salt or sugar, as the child has not yet developed the taste buds. These just overload the system and do not provide additional nutritional benefits.
