Ingredients No. of serves 12
- Almonds 50 gm
- Cashew 20 gm
- Pistachio 20 gm
- Pumpkin seeds 20 gm
- Sunflower seeds 20 gm
- Sesame seeds 10gm
- Brown sugar 100 gm
- Honey 30gm
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Ghee 2 tsp
Method
- Roughly chop cashew & almonds.
- Add 1 tsp of ghee in a pan & add almond roast for 2 min on low heat and gradually add other dry fruits & seed, roast them for 5-6 min on low heat.
- Transfer roasted nuts n seeds on a dry plate.
- In same pan again, add 1 tsp ghee, adding brown sugar and let it melt on low heat for about 8-10 min, stirring continuously.
- Keep stirring, add honey and salt, allow it to cook until you get the desired consistency of the syrup, the whole process of sugar syrup preparation may take 10-15 min but do watch the temperature.
- While the syrup is getting ready, meanwhile grease the tray with some ghee and keep aside. You can also line the tray with parchment paper.
- Switch off the heat and immediately add the roasted nuts & seeds. Mix it well, make sure all ingredients are coated well with syrup.
- Immediately pour the hot mixture onto the greased tray and tap flat with desired thickness with the help of spatula while it is still hot.
- Let it cool for 10-15 min on room temperature, put cutting marks with the help of a knife, as otherwise it will be difficult to cut evenly after it gets set & is hard.
